KNOW ABOUT OUR ACHIEVEMENTS
THE YEAR 2013
This was Team Arcis’ inaugural year, where the NASA System Engineering Award was awarded to us at the SAE Aero-Design Competition (East).
THE YEAR 2014
Our team competed in the SAE Aero Design Competition (East) in 2014, where we placed second among Indian teams and twenty-eighth globally.
THE YEAR 2015
Our team competed in the SAE Aero-Design Competition (West) in 2015, placing first among the Indian team and tenth globally.
THE YEAR 2016
Our team competed in the SAE Aero-Design Competition (West) in 2016, placing first among Indian teams and twenty-fifth overall.
THE YEAR 2017
Our team participated in the SAE Aero-Design Competition (West) in 2017 in two sections: Regular class and Micro class. In the Regular class, we were ranked first nationally and twentieth globally. While in the Micro class, we were ranked third nationally and seventeenth globally.
THE YEAR 2018
In 2018, our team competed in the SAE Aero-Design Competition (West). In the Regular class, we placed second nationally and eighth globally, whereas, in the Micro class, we were awarded second in the Technical Design Report and was awarded twelfth overall globally.
THE YEAR 2019
Our team competed in the SAE Aero-Design Competition (West) in 2019, and for our technical reports, we won two silver awards. Both in the Regular and Advanced divisions, we came seventh overall. In terms of presentation, we came in first, and in terms of technical design report, second.
THE YEAR 2020
Our team competed in the SAE Aero-Design competition (West) and AIAA-DBF competitions in 2020. In SAE, we were ranked third globally in the Micro class. First place in the category of oral technical presentation.
THE YEAR 2021
Since we won the AIAA-DBF Competition this year, it turned out to be an exceptional year for us. We came in first place worldwide. We won first place for our video report and second place for our design report. We placed first in the Technical design report and second in the oral presentation in the SAE micro class.
THE YEAR 2022
In AIAA-DBF, we globally ranked 19th in the Technical Design report with overall ranking of 54th globally.
THE YEAR 2023
In AIAA-DBF, we globally ranked 17th in the Technical Design report with overall ranking of 82nd globally.
Since the beginning of the team, we have continuously delivered strong performance and worked hard to improve each year. In the two most important aero design competitions in the world, the SAE Aero Design Competition and AIAA-DBF Challenge, we are one of just two aero design teams from India to take part in both competitions.
